Creating Hand-crafted cards
Two cards of a few cards I completed this week. And yes - I have started my Christmas card stock already! My cards are always different -
one is not ever a replica of another. I like to think that what I make
has more the hand-made touch full of the personal approach. With the cards I make I see them as an expression to encourage or warm someone's heart. I have others I am doing which are vintage - styled, more art-inspired and breaking of any set guidelines. Now I wonder how they will turn out when I publish them?

Sunbeam Mixer
Old cake mixer like Grandma used to have!
Well worn - but it still works and I've made
a few cakes with it - oh and pikelets too.
Later I will put a few of my recipes here ....

Hahndorf Craft Markets
Sideboard Work
Here is part of our work on a sideboard picked up from a farmer. We have started on the oval in the middle - scoring it back with methylated spirits and Quad Zero steel wool. As the sticky cover coat comes off we wipe it with a cotton cloth as we work. We finished the two drawers today. The handles on the drawers were wire brushed to bring up the shine.

Vintage Quaint Seat for Two
Checking out vintage quaint seat - meant for two of course! This is our second visit and we still have visited all the lovely craft, vintage and other beautiful little shoppes in the Adelaide Hills this winter. Hahndorf is famous for it's lovely and well-made cakes and bread. The little German cake shoppes are excellent quality. One such shop had over the door "You can't get a good product out of poor ingredients." Isn't that true? We enjoy the taste of fine ingredients in the form of "Bee stings" - which don't need to be high in sugar - hence showing the taste instead of good ingredients.
